A Filet Knife
This is a filet knife id did as a Christmas present for my oldest son. The blade is Norwegian steel and the scales are white Corian. The image is that of a flats fisherman and approaching thunderheads; a scene common here on the west coast of Florida.
-
Reel Detail
On the other side of the knife handle is a cartouche with my son’s initials flanked by a tiny image of a saltwater reel on this end and a fishhook at the other end of the cartouche.

The Seeing Hand
This was an ivory medallion about 1 ½ inches in diameter. The client asked for this image. The “Hand of Fatima”, or the “Hand of Miriam” as it is known in the middle east is an image found around the world in various cultures. Here it is a Mesoamerican interpretation where the hand is encircled in two rattlesnakes who are themselves intertwined.

Red Bear
This is the obverse of one of two medallions I did for a couple. They were on Corian, 1 ¾ inches in diameter and about 1/8 inch thick. I did this bear under extreme magnification from a photograph.
-
Snowy Owl
This is the converse of the Red Bear medallion.
-
Pensive Bear
This bear is on the companion medallion.

Owl Woman
This image is on the opposite side of the “Pensive Bear “ medallion. It is of an American Indian woman holding a rattle. Her right arm is an owls wing and she has an owl’s face on her chest.
