The Kirkpatrick Horn
Here is an early work of mine. It was commissioned as a birthday gift from a wife to her husband.
-
Oroborous
Oroborous, the snake or dragon who swallows his own tail and therefore has no terminus. The client wanted a dragon which had significance to her winding through a Celtic knot symbolizing her husband. Around the dragon are the words: “my path leads back to you.”
-
Weeping Hearts
This was a F&I style horn with a tab to attach the strap. I’ve cut weeping hearts into the tab as well as drilled holes for the attachment point. The weeping hearts were of a piece with the spirit of this horn. Around the base of the horn is a band which comes together in a medallion with knotwork in it.

A Celtic Theme
The client wanted a Celtic theme so I did my best to accomplish that using knotwork for the band around the throat, a Celtic themed cartouche and Celtic lettering.
